Appraisals & Authentication

At Driftwood Music, we have outstanding luthiers and, frankly, nerds who live and breath instruments. Our customers bring obscure, broken, and rare instruments and trust us to identify, value, and leave them with only one question “How do these guys know this stuff?” Our signed appraisals are recommended for insurance coverage, valuing estates, or informed pricing for individual sales. Determining originality and the worth of your instrument can be difficult as the internet is filled with misinformation and fraud. Let us help identify your instrument!

We specialize in vintage Gibson, Fender, and Martin instruments but no instrument is too obscure or too new for evaluation. Whether you’ve inherited an heirloom or picked up a junker at a garage sale, bring it on by and we’ll gladly tell you (with no commitment to buying an appraisal) whether it appears to be worth a formal appraisal

Written Appraisal: $40

The instrument must be inspected in-person in order to assess condition and provide an accurate valuation.
